Where are you spending isolation and who with?

I am at home in Konia with my family.

How are you coping with isolation? How are you staying busy?

I am enjoying the time with my children. I am usually so busy it has been an enjoyable experience to spend quality time together as a family. We have a schedule at home to keep, and we are keeping busy doing that. Obviously, I am still working from home.

What is the current status of your business?

At the moment Rock FM is very much up and running. We have adjusted the format and programmes, and all our staff are working from home. We are here to support businesses and also to provide day-to-day updates on the situation to our listeners. We are entertaining our listeners with uplifting music through these times. People should not feel cut off from the rest of the world and know that their local radio station is there to listen to.

Do you have anything you would like to promote?

Our online network, including our website and Facebook page, are still active and being updated every day. We also have a directory which is there to promote local businesses that are offering a service through this period.

Do you have a message/advice for other business owners?

Now is the time to still promote your business. It is crucial to maintain your brand position for when things return to normal. Local radio is a great way to keep in contact with your customers through these times.

What is positive about being in isolation?

The realisation of what you have been missing as before it was always work, work, work. It is not all about money and business. You realise that your family is your priority. It has also made me reflect who my real friends are.

What is negative about being in isolation?

The loss of your freedom and not being able to meet people. However, I totally respect the guidance given to us and understand the reasoning.

Are you cooking and if so, share your favourite dish?

It is lovely to have time to cook. My favourite at the moment is different varieties of burgers. I am currently playing with an Indian style burger by including herbs and spices such as curry powder, coriander and paprika.

What have you been watching to pass the time? Can you recommend any films/series?

We have been watching Greek MasterChef for inspiration in the kitchen. I also enjoyed watching the movie “Bad Boys”, which is an easy one to watch.

What have you been listening to in terms of music? Can you recommend an album?

Of course, I am listening to Rock FM every day and also a station from the UK called Planet Rock. Album wise, I do like the band The Muse and the album “Time is Running Out”.

When things get back to normal, what are you looking forward to the most?

Seeing my extended family and friends and enjoying a coffee in the office with my team at Rock FM.
