The next wine event will take place at Andria Restaurant in Coral Bay. Enjoy a blind tasting and wine presentation by leading wine expert, George Kassianos, followed by a 3-course gourmet dinner. Wine and food have always been a winning combination throughout history, and we are delighted to continue this tradition! We are offering two dates, so that numbers are reduced and follow all safety precautions. Limited availability.

A BLIND TASTING OF CYPRIOT & NEW WORLD WINES
The evening will start with a glass of Kyperounda Akti Rosé wine, followed by a presentation and blind tasting of nine varieties from Cyprus and the New World. The selected Cypriot wines will be from Kyperounda Winery. During the presentation, we will have to decide out of the options, which is which, and answer in writing. There will be an overall winner. This event is suitable for a beginner or the more advanced wine lover.
HOSTED BY LEADING WINE EXPERT, GEORGE KASSIANOS
George Kassianos is the President of the Cyprus Sommeliers Association. He has also recently been appointed to be the Contest and General Assembly Liaison Officer by the International Sommeliers Association (ASI), which takes him all over the world to attend international wine events and competitions. He writes for many publications, including Cyprus in Style Magazine and the weekly wine column of the Sunday Cyprus Mail. He is a wine and hotel educator and presenter, and holds regular wine events across Cyprus. He was appointed by the Government to be a member of the Wine Expert Committee, which certifies PDO wines and acts as an advisory board to the wine and spirits industry. ABOUT STELIOS NIKOLAIDES
Stelios opened Andria Restaurant in 1992, and was later joined by his brother, Marios. They named the restaurant after their mother. Their main aim has always been to provide gourmet food of the highest quality. They make everything in-house and even grow the majority of their vegetables in their own kitchen garden. Andria is famous for serving the very finest of steaks. The site on which the restaurant is built was originally a vineyard, in the days before Coral Bay was developed.
WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
Canapés will be served during the presentation, and then a 3-course dinner will be enjoyed, which has been specially selected by the Executive Chef and Owner of Andria, Stelios Nikolaides. The meal will start with Buffalo Burrata Mozzarella, smoked over olive wood, served with a Tomato Confit, Rucola Leaves and a Pumpkin Sauce. The main course is a Grilled Fillet Steak with Sea Salt, served with Carrots, Asparagus, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Crushed Potatoes, with a choice of Black Peppercorn or Mushroom Sauce. The dessert will be a homemade Chocolate Lava Cake, served with Vanilla Ice cream and a Strawberry Sauce. Fish and vegetarian options are also available.

A 6-week wine course will start with George Kassianos on Wednesday 16th of June. It will take place outside, on the private terrace of Olivetio’s Restaurant, on Tombs of the Kings Avenue in Paphos.

WHAT WILL I LEARN DURING THIS WINE COURSE?
This new wine course in Paphos consists of six unique wine classes, which will take place over six weeks. At every session, a minimum of six wines will be presented from all over the world. You will learn how to assess the wine you are drinking, develop your personal tasting skills, evaluate wine without seeing the label, and learn about the best foods to pair with selected wines.
All wines and sharing platters are included, and numbers are strictly limited. The course will be taking place in an outside venue in Paphos. Available to book now.
